The Expo Osaka 2025 officially opened in Japan on April 13 and will run until Oct 13. Xiamen's Yundang Lake exhibit, the only representative exhibit of urban ecological environmental governance within the China Pavilion, stands alongside other notable Chinese ecological management models such as Hunan's Shibaodong village and the Taklimakan Desert. Together, they offer global audiences a compelling glimpse into China's advancements in green development.

As one of the largest self-built national pavilions at the expo, the China Pavilion showcases over 5,000 years of traditional ecological wisdom. It highlights modern ideals of sustainable development and promotes a shared vision for a harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature on a global scale.

The Yundang Lake exhibit is a focal point within the China Pavilion, illustrating the lake's remarkable transformation from a polluted wasteland to a thriving egret sanctuary. This display highlights Xiamen's effective urban governance strategies and reflects China's progressive development philosophy — innovative, coordinated, green, open, and shared—underscoring the nation's commitment to ecological civilization in the new era.

Throughout the Expo, Xiamen will host "Xiamen Day" themed activities, featuring economic and trade cooperation discussions, Minnan intangible cultural heritage presentations, and ecological image exhibitions. These activities showcase the city's modern international image, characterized by high quality, innovation, and sustainability.
